Hi All, Myspace users on the Sex-Tron 5000 contact list have recently received numerous messages from an artist listed as SX-01 (http://www.myspace.com/sx01). Most of these messages have been short spam-mail, but he has recently sent the following:

Hello, I have been releasing music under the name Sextron-01 since 1999. I also play live under this name. I kindly explained this to the other person now using sextron-5000 but he said he would not change the name at this time. I explained we have copyright releases out since 99' and he does not care. Not sure why he would not want to come up with a unique name. I recommended he could make a simple adjustment to the name to make it sound more different by taking out the word "sex" or "tron", but again, the response was pretty much, not going to change it now. It seems like if they change the name now it would be easier since their music is not released yet. Please look at the links below for actual releases by sextron-01: http://www.nuloop.com/en/vinyl-records/detail/1405 9/frank_pieras-section_q.html http://www.discogs.com/Sextron-01-Activity-Science -Machine/release/174647 The original meaning of sextron-01 is: "sex" which is a big part of human life "tron" for technology and the computer world we live in and "01" for computer language. I do care. I have considered his request and recognize no artistic or legal reason to change my name. The name has sentimental value to me and I wish to keep it. I will continue to sample new names, but until I have found one I am confident with I will continue to work as Sex-Tron 5000. I apologize for the harassing e-mails and I hope that my extended actions will help cease them. Thank you, Graham Bucci Lachrymal Quietus

I love the holiday season 'cause I get sloppy drunk 4 times a week, work all day, all weekend, don't sleep, smoke a pack a day and blow all of my hard-earned income on this and that. I'm sad that's over, but it's time to sleep again and it's nice to have time to work on music. Still, it's not nearly enough time.

I'm working on perfecting guitar sounds before recording the new "If I'm not a Ghost..." parts, but hopefully won't take long. Another couple of weeks for that, then I can get art, etc finished and start sending copies out to all you adoring fans.

That, and these 34 tracks for the "Blades of Grass..." cd have just been sitting there since November... 2010 will be a busy year. Yay.

Do you want to hear some demos of what I'm working on? Mmmm.... I'll post something tomorrow to tease you. Check back soon.

I've mapped out a plan for the new CD "Blades of grass..." that will hopefully help me streamline and finish faster with the highest quality.

I've written 18 potential songs so far, and plan to write another 17 before I decide on a final track list to record. Anyone interested in hearing demos early and giving me some feedback, please message me! I can definitely use the help, and you'll get to hear unique versions of songs that no one else will get to hear. If interested, message me at graham[at]lahrymalquietus.com with an email titled "Interested."

Great, I look forward to sharing all I can with you.

These reissues are coming along well. I've finished beds for "If I'm not a Ghost," only require vocals for "Dark, Gothic Days," and am nearly finished "Why the fog is beautiful" and a few other early Lachrymal Quietus releases. I believe I will release the first 4 or 5 Lachrymal Quietus discs as a small box set. Details to follow.

I'm keeping really busy right now, so 2010 will be something to look forward to (for any Lachrymal Quietus fans). There will be a new LQ album, titled, "blades of grass against your pale cheek." This CD is a slight departure from the ambient, melancholic sound of my previous few releases. I'd go as far as calling it my "pop" album. I'd like to release one accessible CD before I return to my depressive, post-rock sound. I hope you'll enjoy it.

Also, for fans of my earlier works, I'm busy remaking 3 CDs:
- a tearful release
- if I'm not a ghost then why don't you see me?
- tree sparrow

Rewrite. Remix. Remaster. Some of the early mixes are sounding really good, and totally taking each CD in a completely new direction. New track lists, new songs, and some songs, sadly, got cut (probably shouldn't have been on there in the first place).

Check back periodically for more information.

Thanks for your continued support.

It's been a long time since I updated this website and I apologize for that. I believe I have fixed the problem with the navigation and have filled out Artist Biographies and a brief Discography.

I'm in the process of writing 3 new CDs (Lachrymal Quietus, Sex-Tron 5000, and Ghost Gland - details to come in the future) and also something else that I'm pretty excited about. I'm working on rewriting, remixing and remastering a number of old releases. I plan to, over the next couple of years, rerelease all of the discs you see in the "Release" section of this website.

Anyway, If you have any questions, comments or suggestions please do not hesitate to email me.

Thanks,
Graham
