Working on this new website. I had originally planned to have thorned vines growing out of the "lq" and surrounding the content but I think that this, a sort of tree with halation works well in it's place. Now I'm working on filling in the content, which should be pretty easy. The site uses layers so I only need one file, which is nice. I just hope it doesn't slow down load time. We will see.

Toronto-based Lachrymal Quietus began in Summer 2005 as pseudo-orchestral post-darkwave doom, integrating gothic electronic and orchestral elements with post rock, doom, and psychedelic to create a sound focused primarily on gloom and doom. The music was arranged for synthesizer, with piano/organ, strings and drums/percussion. By Mid-2006 guitars were added and in Summer 2006 the guitar took the focus of the project, leading it to a melodic minimalist solo guitar with backing synths. Fall 2006 brought the addition of programmer Tnon of Hamilton-based Tropism and Bob on bass. The music of Lachrymal Quietus is minimalistic, melodic ambient drone doom.
